With its work, the foundation wants to contribute to a fairer world and fight the causes of poverty, injustice, exploitation and unequal opportunities.
Approaches of lived solidarity, self-organisation and processes of self-determined and sustainable development in Africa, Latin America and Asia are promoted.
The foundation realises these goals by financially supporting development policy projects in Germany and DC projects of East German associations. The associations and initiatives are also supported through various qualification and advisory services. The foundation also promotes dialogue and encounters between people from the Global South and North. The focus here is on mutual learning, solidarity and the joint shaping of a sustainable global society.
The Foundation supports the 2030 Agenda (17 Sustainable Development Goals) and the core statement that all societies in the world must change sustainably to ensure the survival of the planet. A more just world requires substantial changes in our own society.
